I have been dancing for as long as I can remember and I love it! I currently dance with Addicted to Dance, Harlow and with Georgie and Shelley in Watton. I love performing and being on stage and successfully auditioned for pantomime last year. When I get a spare moment I’m always dancing at school, teaching friends, with my dance schools or at TCYB. For me being in TCYB has helped to improve my skills and has also helped me to understand more about choreography.
Being in TCYB has meant a lot to me. First of all, being chosen to be in the company and secondly being able to dance in performances with them. The teachers, Georgie and Shelley are so nice and are great at teaching us. My friends in the company are all so nice and we have lots of fun dancing. I love dancing and performing loads and I never stop thinking about ballet. I would really like to become a dancer in the future and I think TCYB will help bring me closer to my dream.
I’ve been dancing with Georgie and Shelley for 3 years now and have already accomplished so much. I’m in my first year at the Royal Ballet School as a Junior Associate and I’m loving it! I have been performing In Cinderella at the Royal Opera House with the Royal Ballet Company which has been an amazing experience! Getting into TCYB is a great opportunity to be part of a company and has been hard work but great fun. I hope to have many more years of ballet ahead of me.
I like dancing because it is very fun and when I dance it makes me happy. I also love ballet because I want to be good at it and it is something that I can say I can do. Being in TCYB has meant a lot to me and being chosen to be in the company makes me feel privileged as well. All of the teachers and other dancers in the company are really nice. We have lots of fun but also take it seriously at the same time. I think TCYB has helped me be a better dancer. Thank you Shelley and Georgie.
I started dancing when I was 9 years old. Ballet is my favourite and I attend classes 4 nights a week I currently dance with Buntingford Dancing School taking many exams and entering competitions. When I received the news that I was successful after my audition with TCYB, it was a dream come true. This is my first experience of a youth ballet company and I am enjoying every minute. I love performing as it makes me feel good. In the future I would like to have my own dance school and hopefully a youth ballet company as successful as TCYB.
I have always loved dancing and wonder if this is because I share a birthday with Darcey Bussell. I have appeared in a number of shows, the most recent being “Wind in the Willows”. I have also recently been chosen by my school to take part in a joint schools project for gifted and talented dancers. TCYB has taught me new skills and techniques and how to work as a team. It has been a great experience and I really look up to the older girls. I think my dancing has improved and I have met new people and been encouraged all the way.
I went to my first ballet class when I was three years old. I have continued with my ballet and now at the age of 10 I will be taking my grade 6 ballet in the summer term. Being part of TCYB means that I will gain more experience in performing and have great fun performing with my friends. I would love to one day perform on the West End stage in front of all of my family and friends.
I love being in TCYB as I get to spend time with my friends who I don’t get to see at school. We all work really hard together and I really enjoy the challenge of a performance instead of just working towards an exam. I am currently studying RAD advanced 1 and hope that even when I leave school that I will be able to carry on with ballet classes.
I have not been in a company before as I have only been learning ballet for 3 years. The company makes me feel more a part of something instead of just dancing for me. Its great to be part of a bigger picture. I have learned so many new skills ing part of TCYB. Dance to me is amazing as there are endless possibilities to what you can achieve. You can escape from the reality of life and just dance. In the future I would like to run my own ballet school where. I can give students the opportunity to have a passion for dance just as I have been given.
I started to learn ballet 3 years ago and have always been with Georgie and Shelley. I have never been part of a community like this. I love performing because of the adrenalin rush and that’s what TCYB gives you – that thrill, that excitement. Georgie and Shelley make you really want to dance. I have been a JA with the Royal Ballet School for the last 2 years and performed at the Royal Opera House with the Royal Ballet, during Christmas each year in Beatrix Potter. I was chosen to represent the Royal Ballet School regionally and danced at the Royal Albert Hall and White Lodge. I would like to be a professional dancer with the Royal Ballet Company.
For just over 5 years dancing has been a major part of my life. I can remember loving it, even from my very first lesson. When I am dancing I feel as though I can escape from everything else and forget any worries I have. When I leave school I would love to train to teach ballet, however I know that I need to improve my confidence. Youth Ballet has helped me to build my confidence with performing and I am excited to have this lovely opportunity.
TCYB has been a fantastic opportunity to understand what being part of a real company is like. It has been a great experience for me and I always come out of rehearsals with a smile on my face.I would like to say a massive thank you to Georgie and Shelley for the way they share their love of dance and create opprotunites for everyone to be their best. In the company there are some amazing girls, who are simply the best friends I could ever have. I am so excited about doing the performances and I hope that you enjoy watching.
Being in TCYB has meant a huge amount to me. It honestly has brought me back to loving ballet which I thought I would never do again. The belief and support both Georgie and Shelley have shown me since the start has been unbelievable and I am hugely grateful to them. I attended a vocational school for 3 years and have recently returned to my old ballet school and it feels like home. My best friends are also in TCYB so I suppose that’s not too bad!!! Thank you Georgie and Shelley.
I’ve been dancing since I was 7 years old at the Jason Theatre School in Broxbourne. I do ballet, modern, tap, jazz nd national dance. Ballet is my favourite type of dance because it is so challenging and I love it. Being in Three Counties Youth Ballet has really meant a lot to me and has given me the experience of what working together with other young dancers in acompany is like. I love performing and the excitement leading up to a show. I am currently an associate with Central School of Ballet on a Saturday and Tring Park School for the Performing Arts Reach 4 Dance Classical Ballet Course.
My name is Shannon and I have been dancing since I was 2 years old. Dancing means a lot to me and I love performing. I like being on stage and entertaining the audience. Being in TCYB has helped me to build my confidence and improve my skill. Being new to the company meant I started off not knowing anyone but during my time with TCYB I have made lots of new friends. It has made me realize how dedicated and talented professionals must be and has helped me in following in their footsteps. In the future I would like to be a ballet dancer and perform in many shows. I have won several awards with my dance school.
TCYB has been an amazing experience for me and I would like to thank Shelley and Georgie for giving me this opportunity to perform. I started ballet when I was 9 and at 13 successfully auditioned for the associate course at Central School of Ballet which I am in my second year of study on. I am currently studying RAD advanced 2 and it’s so hard!!!! When I was 13 I gained a Distinction for RAD Intermediate and a High Merit for RAD Advanced 1 when I was 14. I feel very lucky to be able to share this lovely performance experience with some of my closest friends.
I have been dancing since the age of 4 and it means a lot to me to be part of TCYB. I love dancing and have performed in shows for the English Youth Ballet and have been on tour with London Children’s Ballet.I completed my Advanced 1 exam in March last year and am training for advanced 2. This could lead me to teach ballet myself in the future or go on to become a professional dancer.
My name is Madeleine Slader and I am 13 years old. I’ve always loved dancing ever since I started ballet aged 2. I really enjoy working as a team and putting on a show. My other hobbies include, athletics, netball, gymnastics and I love acting and modelling as its great to meet new people and see new places. I also dance ballroom and Latin and have competed nationally at the Blackpool Tower, which was an amazing experience! It has been a real pleasure working with the girls and thank you Georgie and Shelley for making me feel so welcome.
My name is Francesca, but everybody calls me Frankie and I’m 11 years old. My main hobby is dance, especially ballet, but I love Hip-Hop too. TCYB has been a huge and great experience for me and I have learned a lot from it. I hope that I have improved from it as well. I will be sitting my grade 6 and 7 ballet exams this year after getting a distinction for my grade 5 a year ago. Thank you Georgie and Shelley for making this happen.
It is fantastic to be able to join a youth ballet company with other dancers who enjoy ballet as much as I do. I love performing because it is amazing fun and it makes me feel like there is nothing else I want to do, it is just so wonderful. In the future I am hoping to audition for a full time ballet school so that I can train to become a professional dancer. I have been doing ballet since the age of 2. Ballet is great, I love it!!!!
